Cwt Mochyn is the perfect home from home dog-friendly holiday cottage; a rural retreat for family holidays and small group holidays. This eco-friendly, self-catering holiday cottage is a former stone cow barn with adjoining pig sty, converted into a large, detached, single-storey cottage which sleeps six, plus one infant (cot and high chair provided) and up to two dogs.
An enclosed south-facing garden overlooks our wild grassland area and features a lawn, patio with table, chairs and barbecue, and bird feeders. A croquet set is available.
The kitchen is modern, well equipped and includes a built-in microwave and separate oven, ceramic hob, fridge freezer, dish washer, washing machine, toaster and kettle. A cafetiere is provided for coffee lovers.
The high ceiling sitting room, features stone walls and exposed wooden beams, and has a wood burning stove, LCD TV with Freesat, DVD/CD player (with connector for iPods and other mp3 devices), tuner, amplifier & speakers. There are plenty of books, CDs and DVDs to keep you entertained, and a selection of games and jigsaws.
Original stone walls and exposed wooden beams have also been retained in the dining room, where French windows lead out onto the patio area.
A separate family bathroom comprises toilet and bath with overhead shower.
The three individually styled bedrooms comprise two double bedrooms (one with en-suite shower room) and the third bedroom which can be set up with either twin single beds or one super-king bed as preferred. All rooms are furnished with reclaimed furniture of character.

"Came away for a get together with our son and daughter and we’ve had such a lovely time. Cwt Mochyn is a real find and we can’t wait to return. The sun has shone and we’ve made the most of it, eating al-fresco on the patio and some great walks. This is such a peaceful area – great to hear nothing but birdsong. Our time has gone too quickly.”
The Kay Family, Stockport
"What a find! In 50 years of self-catering Cwt Mochyn is the best. We can’t leave without mentioning the information book. Never have we come across so much detail to help guests enjoy their stay – it’s outstanding."
