Hen Ffermdy is the perfect home from home romantic hideaway; a couple's retreat for honeymoons, romantic breaks or just to escape to the country. This luxury self-catering eco holiday cottage is a former stone farmhouse, converted into a comfortable and spacious detached two-person cottage with mezzanine en-suite bedroom and wood flooring throughout.
It has an enclosed garden with a small lawn, patio with table, chairs and barbecue, and bird feeders.
Inside, there is a spacious open plan sitting room/dining room featuring original stone walls, furnished with reclaimed furniture of character, and with wood burning stove and LCD TV (with Freesat, DVD/CD player and iPod dock).
There are plenty of books, CDs and DVDs to keep you entertained, as well as a few games and jigsaws. There is a telescope and star guide for amateur astronomers. For added nostalgia, there is a working 1950s radiogram complete with LP collection (but feel free to bring your own favourite vinyl records for a spin).
"Hen Ffermdy – probably the best self-catering we have had considering the lovely décor and all those little extra touches – couldn’t fault it. Love to return."
Kerina & Derek, Bristol
"We had a magical few days away in an idyllic, romantic retreat – walking the Welsh hills, playing music, dancing, drinking wine, watching movies, playing Scrabble… Our new favourite place. We will definitely be back.”
Karen & David, Kent
